Garnham Tree Surgery is led by Ryan Garnham and a small, experienced team of climbers and grounds staff. Over the years we’ve completed hundreds of jobs across Sussex, from simple hedge cuts and fruit tree pruning to complex crown reductions over conservatories and tight-access stump grinding in rear gardens.

About Garnham Tree Surgery

We’re a family-run, NPTC-qualified tree surgery company based in Uckfield, East Sussex, providing safe, professional tree care across East, West and Mid Sussex. For over 13 years we’ve helped homeowners, businesses and local councils keep their trees, hedges and outdoor spaces healthy, safe and well managed.

From crown reduction and crown thinning to safe tree removals, storm damage call-outs, stump grinding, hedge trimming and tree planting, our goal is simple: do a proper job, give great advice and tips, treat people fairly, and leave every site tidier than we found it.

All our tree surgeons are City & Guilds NPTC-certified, and our operatives hold PA1 & PA6 qualifications for the safe, controlled application of herbicides and other treatments. We follow industry best practice for fruit tree pruning, hedge management, pollarding, coppicing and general crown work.

We work with full public liability insurance and provide written Health & Safety risk assessments when required. Whether we’re carrying out a small crown lift over a driveway or sectional dismantling of a large tree over buildings, safety for you, your neighbours and our team comes first.
